Keep headers/logos under 125 pixels high. It takes up valuable viewing space, especially for laptop users, that is best left for the good stuff to appear"above the fold." Take a cue from the big companies, simple logos done well say it all. This is our #1 pet peeve - screaming logos and headers!
Documents can easily get lost if you don't have good protection on your site. A few of those files may be stored on your computer and easily replaceable, but what about the rest of them? If you lose them the first time, where are you going to get them out of again? Especially fix wordpress malware virus is very important. Many times sites have a lot of data and have made a large number of files. Recreating all of that would be a nightmare, and not something any business owner wants to do.
Don't make the mistake of thinking that your web host you can try here will have your back so far as WordPress copies go. Not always. While they say they do, it's been my experience that the company may or may not be doing backups. Take that kind of chance?
Yes, you need to do regular backups of your site. I recommend at least a weekly database backup and a monthly "full" backup. More, if possible. Definitely more, if you make changes and regular additions to your site. If you have a community of people that are in there all the time, or you could try these out make changes multiple times every day, a backup should be a minimum.
